Nolato Cerbo’s Cerbo Classic SC-Light closures are designed to reduce cap weight while retaining the core functions required for solid-dose pharmaceutical packaging.
Available in 34 mm and 42 mm formats, SC-Light uses an optimised lightweight, two-piece design with an inner membrane. The closure uses a snap-on system and incorporates a tamper-evident inner membrane as part of the pack.
The container-and-closure interface is designed for low moisture vapour transmission, supporting applications where moisture protection is an important packaging requirement. SC-Light is injection moulded in HDPE and LDPE, available in pharma-grade materials and standard colours, and is FDA registered with DMF Type III, DMF no. 18790.
For projects looking to reduce material use at closure level, SC-Light offers a straightforward option within the Cerbo Classic family: two standard sizes, a lighter cap design and the established Cerbo Classic packaging platform. Biomaterial versions are also available within Nolato Cerbo’s portfolio.
Lightweighting does not need to turn a familiar pack into a different system. With SC-Light, the material reduction is built into the closure design itself.
